As one of the founders of the Foundation for Conservation and Development (FCD), Rafael knew something needed to be done to protect the border of Belize, the Chiquibul National Park and the Scarlet Macaws who nest there.  The Rangers of FCD patrol more than one hundred thousand acres on foot, tirelessly working to guard to irreplaceable forest and the Scarlet Macaws on the edge of extinction.
