NTOTA Purchases Land for New BWRC Clinic Campus

NTOTA is proud to have purchased land for a new Belize Wildlife Referral Clinic campus. Dr. Isabelle Paquet-Durand is the vital life force energy behind the Belize Wildlife Referral Clinic .  Her tireless efforts to support, rescue, care for, rehabilitate, re-wild (when possible), and re-home animals of all types is inspiriting to us.  For many years, Dr. Isabelle has been running her clinic on a shoe-string budget in makeshift quarters.  Her can-do attitude made all things possible, despite conditions that were not conducive to the success she achieved.  But now, with the help of NTOTA leading the team effort, land has been purchased for the site of a new, permanent clinic.  And with matching grants, a new clinic will be constructed to properly support the work of the BWRC.  A second building will be constructed as a classroom for education and lectures.  And a third building for caretakers and staff quarters.

From educating students wanting to become wildlife vets and techs, to community outreach, treating, rescuing, re-wilding and re-homing animals of every sort, BWRC is doing it, and with the new clinic setting, they will be able to do more and do it more easily. If you love animals, wild or just wild at heart, and would like to support the hardest working vet in the business, click here to show her and the animals she cares for a little love.  The animals don’t pay the bills or write thank you notes, but we will.
